| It comes as no surprise that the demand for wireless technology continues to rise. This latest benchmark survey found that enterprises expect to increase their wireless penetration. Most respondents forsee more cell phones, wireless-enabled laptops and notebook PCs, and PDAs with wireless date and email access. |

| Yet while adding wireless inventory is one thing, controlling the enterprise spend associated with wireless technology is another. Only half of the companies represented in our survey have wireless cost management programs in place, but only 27% have had it for more than a year. Another 16% plan to have such programs in place within a year, but still 35% have no places to develop any formal wireless cost management programs. |
